Children patients must be treated in a special way. Every action in the children´s mouth is very stressful, especially if they are acute and painful. That is the reason why it is necessary to pay special attention to prevention of tooth decay. The feeling of safety perceived by the child is very important for us. By this way we would like to avoid the negative feelings connected with the visit of the dentist. Children´s dentistry is one of the basic pillars of preventive dentistry. This is the reason why we pay great attention to it.

The proper cleaning

Even for the first teeth, the proper cleaning is vital. As first, the front teeth are reaching the mouth cavity. These can be celaned by cotton-wool. When the back tooth start to grow, this procedure is not efficient enough anymore and it is necessary to start cleaning with toothbrush and suitable children toothpaste. It is vital to lead the child since the beginning to be a friend with the toothbrush, but effective cleaning is depends on parents. Till the 8 years of age it is good to help children with teeth cleaning.

The first decay

The sign of tooth enamel deliming are white stains. If the unsatisfactory hygiene goes on, the white stains change into dark and soft ones. If the patients are little children the decay of infant bottle may occur. This occurs as a result of sweet drinks consuming, especially before sleeping time, soaking the dummy in honey etc. The result is fast spreading decay, which often leads to extraction of temporary incisor.
